I met Rick as a pre-schooler at Polk Street Methodist Church.  I'm pretty sure I decided we were going to get married when I we were 4 or 5.  I also was going to marry Kevin Deckard.  Good taste at a young age.

Rick & I campaigned for a girl named Sandy for AHS queen at the old AHS when were were 4 or 5.  We were dressed in white and went over to AHS at lunch and handed out fliers for Sandy.  I didn't know her and don't even know if she was elected!

We sang together at THS & AHS in choir & musicals.  In LA, we actually had a mini reunion with Stacey Baker Hafen and RIck & Evelyn at Green Street in Pasadena.  Stacey lived in Arcadia and Rick & Evelyn were at Edwards Air Force Base.  That was around 1989 or so.

Mom, Dot Clark, always kept me up to date on Rick & Evelyn as she did for many of our classmates.

I know none of us will ever forget waking up to the news of the Space Shuttle Columbia that one Saturday morning.  I was so confused because the news was nebulous at first.  He was a wonderful representative of our class and of Amarillo.  I love seeing him at the airport!

Rest in peace, Rick.  I know you're in the choir of angels with my mom!
