I am really saddened to learn of Ev's passing. I am also sad I didn't make a better effort to extend an offer of friendship to her in high school. I really think it was becasue she was so smart.Seeing her at our ten year reunion was so incredible. She was witty, kind, engaging and so much more. I'm sure she made a real difference in the world and people's lives.Reading the posts her sister shared was enlightening. She was dedicated to science till the end, even donating her body to medical research. I learned also that she was stricken with cancer a really long time, and mentioned it was an anommaly for her to have lived so long after being diagnosed.This has taught me something that I should have learned so long ago. To look beyond a person's outer self, and to look inward.
